Members-only whisky
Only members of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society can access our multi award-winning monthly Outturns of around 20 new single cask, single malt bottlings in an ever-changing variety of flavours.

As well as a new release of incredible whisky every month, we’re constantly serving up different ways to enjoy the experience, where you can discover a different side to our whiskies, learn more about our latest bottlings and suggestions on how to share them with your fellow members.

Mostly A: we think you’ll enjoy the vanilla, oak and mouth-watering fruit notes found in whiskies aged in ex-bourbon casks. This type of cask provides a mellow, sweet and rounded whisky which is as delicious as a dram as it is in a classic whisky cocktail. Ex-bourbon casks are ‘charred’ on the inside, leading to the beautiful golden colour of these whiskies plus some notes of toffee.

1. After purchase you will receive an email confirmation where you will be able to log in to smws.com to access the members’ area with access to events and bottlings.
2. Within 24 hours we will send you a welcome email to let you know your membership is being processed.
3. Membership processing takes around four working days, during which we will send your membership pack along with any other purchase you may have made. Please note that as bottles are fulfilled at a different location to membership packs you may receive two separate deliveries.
4. Once you receive your membership pack and card, you will be able to access Members’ Rooms and take part in tastings and events.
5. Each month you will receive regular updates by email about Outturn bottle releases, events, tastings and much, much more. You can also keep up to date with what’s happening on social media too!
